Sea fog

A misty old morning in Encinitas, not a breath of wind, just little lines of colourless glass moseing on in from out of the sea fog.

Back yard Barrels

When your out of the water with swimmers ear your mind sometimes finds waves to surf elswhere.

Swamis local

Ok check out the little dude at the bottom of this picture, I have no idea what it is but he was cool. As i was checking the surf he kept darting in and out of his hole like someone had been feeding him coffee beans. Although i wouldn't want to leave home much either if i lived where he's claimed.

One California Day

Today was magic. It was as if i was handed the ideal California day. I scored 2ft clean Swamis all day on my new log and on my way back up the coast highway stumbled upon a car show full of stylish old delights. To top it off the beach boys where playing form one of the cars and was punctuated by the horn or the coaster train at it hooted up the coast.

Little Log

My new little log. Its an old beat up 8'6" Takayama noserider, its got a bit of a tan but it should be a lot of fun.

Encinitas

Went for a skate today around Encinitas near where i'm staying.

San Diego

So i hopped on the train and headed down to sunny San Diego

L.A.

We spent three or four days in LA not really knowing what to do with ourselves. Our 80's hotel seemed to be situated somewhere between LA and the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately Kaillan had to fly home prematurely and i was left to explore the west coast solo.

Notting Hill Carnival

Notting Hill Carnival is apparently the second biggest carnival in the world, and most years the whole area gets so crowded that, in the worst parts of the city, riots break out and the police have to cordon off the roads.

London

Now we are in Whitechapel in east London and things are completely different; the apple trees have been replaced by street stalls and markets, chai has been replaced by whine and beer, and the jet streams by clubs, festivals street performances.

Maidenhead, England

We spent our first few weeks in England in a quite town outside of London called Maidenhead staying with some friends we met in Spain. The countryside was something else, wild blackberries, plums and apples grew along the Thames canals and entire afternoons where spent drinking chai in the back yard and watching the jet streams draw their way across the sky.
